Washington DC Interview Cinematographer | Videographer - Multiple Angle + B-Roll

Below is a recent sit-down interview with two angles captured for Amna Nawaz, a Journalist for PBS News Hour in Washington DC. In this video, she was giving an acceptance speech for an award she was to receive from the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). A Condenser Mic on a boom was used in this interview for audio, along with B-roll around her workspace after the sit-down. For that, I followed her around with Cam-B on a gimbal.

Below are a few screengrabs from the interview session. For the main Camera-A angle, a Canon C70 was used, for the Camera-B angle and the B-Roll videos, a Canon R6 was used. I typically don’t use the R6 for video because of specific limitations but since the interviewee was comfortable on camera, not many retakes were required for this one. It was a videographers dream, one and done. The interview itself was longer, so this is just a sample. Full interview can be seen through MPAC. This interview was filmed in Northern Virginia on a very sunny day.
